How a battery contact is made depends on the batch size and complexity of the component. Gutekunst manufactures prototypes and complex battery contacts in small quantities in a two-stage process by <a href=\"https:\/\/info.formfedern.com\/en\/lasering-punching-forming-and-assembling\/\">laser cutting and forming<\/a>. In the first step, the basic dimensions of the workpiece are <a href=\"https:\/\/info.formfedern.com\/en\/laser-cutting-and-laser-cutting-manufacturing-process-and-other-cutting-methods\/\">laser cut<\/a> from the sheet metal. In the second step, semi-automatic or fully automatic press brakes set the <a href=\"https:\/\/info.formfedern.com\/en\/bending-radius-in-metal-forming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">exact bending radii<\/a> and angles. The component can also be passivated for corrosion protection. Each coating brings a specific set of properties. Resistance to most acids and good surface protection can be achieved with a gold coating, for example.
